Two calls, allegedly between a Bengal voter and BJP’s campaign team exposes the communal mindset of BJP’s campaign team and their strategy in Bengal. From the recordings, it seems that one of the people who was called by the BJP’s campaign team calls them back and speaks first a female member of the team and later with a male member.
When he calls the female member, he firstly confronts her as to where did they get his phone number from. Subsequently, he asks her to enumerate the reasons for voting BJP. The lady responds by saying that only BJP can improve India’s future. She further asks, “do you want more mosques to be made? That India should become Pakistan? If you want India to become Pakistan, then you’re free to vote for anyone else.“. The man goes on to state that if BJP pursues this communal agenda in Bengal, they will not get a single seat from Bengal. At this point, the woman asks him if he’s threatening them. He responds by stating, “Yes, it’s his challenge”.
At this point of time, the call seems to get disconnected and he calls back again. This time a male member of the campaign team picks up the phone call. The man goes onto confront this male member of the campaign team too and tells him that he’s recorded both the phone calls and he will play them at every meeting.
