This itself proves that Zaid Hamid did not make the statements after the Taliban&#8217;s takeover of Afghanistan.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">&#8220;We have not slaughtered Hindus for quite some time. However, the video has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Ng3Xol7ouJk&amp;feature=youtube_gdata_player\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">taken down from YouTube<\/a> for violating the platform&#8217;s rules on hate speech.<\/p>\n<p>However, we did find a copy of the video [a section of Pakistan-based ARY News broadcast] uploaded in 2014.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=CT30KDfDD9A\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=CT30KDfDD9A<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Transcription of the complete statement given by Hamid was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.memri.org\/reports\/pakistani-defense-analyst-zaid-hamid-i-pray-allah-americans-withdraw-afghanistan-and-leave\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">found on the website mimri.org<\/a>. The excerpt in the first paragraph of this fact-check report has been taken from this website. The transcription was published in 2014. The website says that the broadcast dates back to August 11, 2013. Zaid Hamid spoke about how Pakistan should treat India&#8217;s presence in Afghanistan after the US troop withdrawal planned by the end of 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Former US president <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Politics\/president-obama-orders-start-us-troop-withdrawal-afghanistan\/story?id=13908291\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Barack Obama<\/a> had ordered the US military to make plans to fully pull out American troops from Afghanistan by 2014. Obama&#8217;s plan was subsequently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/obama-to-slow-troop-withdrawal-from-afghanistan-1467817803\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">withdrawn<\/a> but the number of troops was reduced. It was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/opinion\/articles\/2020-11-28\/trump-s-afghan-troop-withdrawal-is-a-gift-to-the-taliban\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">further truncated<\/a> by the next president Donald Trump. Last year, before Trump was voted out, the US <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/world-asia-51689443\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">signed a dea<\/a>l with the Taliban which said that the US would withdraw all troops within 14 months if the Taliban does not allow Al-Qaeda or any other extremist group to operate in areas under the Taliban&#8217;s control. The complete withdrawal of US troops finally took place during the first presidential term of Joe Biden.<\/p>\n<p>Now coming back to Zaid Hamid&#8217;s speech. While the Pakistani commentator&#8217;s remarks were not recent, Hamid is routinely criticised for xenophobia and hate speech against non-Muslim faiths. He has taken an anti-India stand several times in the past and his Twitter account is also withheld in the country. Hamid had <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/zaidzamanhamid\/status\/1065467401142177793?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">claimed<\/a> that the 2001 Parliamentary attack convict Ajmal Kasab was an Indian Hindu. Alt News has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/?s=zaid+hamid\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">penned several articles<\/a> on him before his account was withheld.<\/p>\n<p>Several Pakistanis had condemned Hamid&#8217;s statements back in 2013.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Zaid Hamid wants America to leave Afghanistan, so that all Indian Hindus in Afghanistan can be massacre.
