According to the claim, the river emerges on the new moon night of Pitru Paksha and disappears on Diwali, i.e., Amavasya (new moon). The video is being shared as a wonderful miracle of nature. It was uploaded to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=a-QVIGhJIYg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">YouTube<\/a> on September 19, 2017, as a video of water from the Kaveri river entering Mayavaram, a town in Tamil Nadu. In addition, many other users had uploaded the visuals in 2017 as Tamil Nadu. (<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/a-QVIGhJIYg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Link 1<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/5B2iyh48Ca8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Link 2<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/taDE56lQXcs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Link 3<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>[youtube https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=GDJ7iz368xI]<\/p>\n<p>Upon further research, we found <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehindu.com\/news\/national\/tamil-nadu\/mayiladuthurai-ready-for-cauvery-maha-pushkaram\/article19656872.ece\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a report by The Hindu<\/a> dated September 11, 2017. According to this, Kaveri Maha Pushkaram was going to be celebrated in Tamil Nadu&#8217;s Mayiladuthurai from September 12-24, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.deccanchronicle.com\/nation\/current-affairs\/100917\/mahapushkaram-after-144-years-in-dry-cauvery.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Deccan Chronicle story<\/a> from September 10, 2017, stated that the coordinator of the Pushkaram committee had requested the Karnataka government to release water from the Kaveri river so that the Maha Pushkaram festival could be celebrated without any interruptions.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehindu.com\/news\/cities\/Tiruchirapalli\/froth-filled-fresh-water-gushes-into-temple-town\/article19713766.ece\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Hindu<\/a> reported on September 19, 2017, that the Karnataka government had released water from the Cauvery river from the Mettur dam. Following this, many devotees had gathered on the banks to worship the river.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-104316 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2021\/10\/word-image-2.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"704\" height=\"782\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2021\/10\/word-image-2.jpeg 704w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2021\/10\/word-image-2-270x300.jpeg 270w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 704px) 100vw, 704px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>India Today also published a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indiatoday.in\/fact-check\/story\/is-there-any-miracle-behind-cauvery-water-flowing-through-this-village-in-tamil-nadu-1610483-2019-10-17\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fact-check article<\/a> about this video in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, the Karnataka government released water from the Kaveri river in 2017 for devotees to celebrate the Kaveri Pushkaram festival in Tamil Nadu. This water did not enter the town due to natural causes.
