This led us to various news reports about a port explosion in China in 2015. We checked a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/china-disaster-zone-tianjin-new-explosions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news broadcast by CBS<\/a> and noticed some similarities to the viral video.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-112344\" src=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2022\/02\/2022-02-24-18_27_42-Broadcast-of-CBS-1200-\u00d7-628px-\u2014-Mozilla-Firefox.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"855\" height=\"378\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2022\/02\/2022-02-24-18_27_42-Broadcast-of-CBS-1200-\u00d7-628px-\u2014-Mozilla-Firefox.jpg 855w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2022\/02\/2022-02-24-18_27_42-Broadcast-of-CBS-1200-\u00d7-628px-\u2014-Mozilla-Firefox-300x133.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2022\/02\/2022-02-24-18_27_42-Broadcast-of-CBS-1200-\u00d7-628px-\u2014-Mozilla-Firefox-768x340.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 855px) 100vw, 855px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Taking this broadcast as a clue, we performed a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/results?search_query=explosion+in+china+2015\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">keyword search<\/a> on YouTube and came across the full video on BBC News&#8217;s YouTube channel. The video was recorded by an American tourist named <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/news\/china\/tianjin-blasts-tour-american-survivor-dan-van-durens-wrecked-home-n412986\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dan Van Duren<\/a>.<\/p>\n<iframe style=\"width:100%; height:auto; aspect-ratio:16\/9;\" title=\"Tianjin explosion video captures fear of eyewitnesses - BBC News\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/993wlZ6XFSs?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<p>Hence, a video of an explosion in China in 2015 was part of News24&#8217;s broadcast of the Ukraine-Russia conflict.
