Against the backdrop of communal violence reported in Delhi’s Jahangirpuri area during the recently held Hanuman Jayanti procession, an image is being shared on social media depicting a Muslim mob pelting stones at a police officer.<\/p>\n

The image was tweeted<\/a> by the media head and spokesperson for BJP Delhi, Naveen Kumar Jindal. He later deleted the post.<\/p>\n

We performed a reverse image search on Yandex and found a report<\/a> by the Times of India, stating that the image captures an instance of a violent clash with the police, during the anti-CAA protests that took place in the Shah-e-Alam area of Ahmedabad in December 2019.<\/p>\n
