Alt News has previously debunked the same image shared with child-kidnapping rumours<\/a>. We had fact-checked the photograph of the men in police custody and found that they were accused of being a part of a sex racket gang. They were arrested from the Lebad-Nayagaon four-lane road, Madhya Pradesh. An article on Patrika<\/a> dated July 15, 2019, had reported the incident.<\/p>\n

Alt News also contacted the Karnal Ganj Police Station, which is the closest police station to Allahabad University, to confirm if any student was arrested for “making bombs” in the hostel. SHO Sujit Singh confirmed that the claim is false.<\/p>\n
