The article suggested that the photo was clicked at Mall Road in Nainital.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-118991\" src=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2022\/05\/mall-road.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"734\" height=\"673\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2022\/05\/mall-road.jpg 734w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2022\/05\/mall-road-300x275.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 734px) 100vw, 734px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The photo attached to the blog was of better quality, and upon close observation, we could notice the names of stores that are present on the road. One signboard was of &#8220;Domino&#8217;s pizza&#8221; and a part of another word is legible. The photo has been credited to journalist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/mahmud.opu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mahmud Hossain Opu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-118972 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2022\/05\/2022-05-25-17_33_53-Millions-attend-worlds-second-largest-Muslim-gathering-_-Gallery-_-Al-Jazeera-\u2014.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"613\" height=\"564\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2022\/05\/2022-05-25-17_33_53-Millions-attend-worlds-second-largest-Muslim-gathering-_-Gallery-_-Al-Jazeera-\u2014.jpg 613w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2022\/05\/2022-05-25-17_33_53-Millions-attend-worlds-second-largest-Muslim-gathering-_-Gallery-_-Al-Jazeera-\u2014-300x276.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 613px) 100vw, 613px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>According to the report, the photo was taken in Bangladesh during the annual Islamic gathering, Biswa Ijtema, which took place on the banks of the Turag River, about 35km from the Bangladeshi capital, Dhaka. It is the second-largest Muslim gathering in the world.<\/p>\n<p>Alt News contacted Mahmud Hossain Abu who confirmed to us that the photo was indeed clicked by him. &#8220;This picture was taken from the Tongi area during Bishwa Ijtema in 2018. Where thousands of Muslims offer Friday prayer,&#8221; said Mahmud.<\/p>\n<p>To conclude, a photo clicked during the Bishwa Ijtema in Bangladesh was shared with a misleading claim.
