The video is circulating on YouTube, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jeppu127\/status\/1001026469919969280?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a> and Facebook.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=YrJOZEkcp7Q\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=YrJOZEkcp7Q<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Renuka Jain, whom PM Modi follows on Twitter, has also <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RenukaJain6\/status\/1001459426853765120\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">shared<\/a> this video with a similar context. A video demonstration of the fact-check can be seen below. We found that the incident in question occurred not in Birmingham, U.K but in Basel, Switzerland. Also, it has nothing to do with Islam or Muslims.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Football related vandalism from Switzerland shared as Muslims attacking cars in Birmingham\" width=\"1290\" height=\"726\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/s7LHdrZczTY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The vandalism on display is in relation to a football match between Basel and Lucerne football clubs, and the violence took place on May 19 at Birsstrasse, Basel. According to reports, about 90 persons were involved in rioting and the police has arrested two people. Two people were injured in the clashes that took place. In each case, the video has been mischievously placed out of context, blaming some community or the other for this aggression.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hooliganism in Brazil<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This video has been shared by a YouTube channel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCuLngsOqSROlADO0wKU5Mpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RedeBrasil.NET<\/a> with the claim that this vandalism took place in Brazil.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=jTEwTsgoRLM\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=jTEwTsgoRLM<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Attack by Pakistanis<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yet another version projects this incidents as the handiwork of Pakistanis in Birmingham, U.K<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=bmCeKNcPRMk\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=bmCeKNcPRMk<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Messages and posts that seek to create a rift among religious communities and reinforce prejudices are commonplace on social media. Old videos and photographs are often shared with provocative and inflammatory messages.
