href=\"https:\/\/www.indiatoday.in\/india\/story\/fake-news-district-collector-on-fake-news-over-attack-on-bihari-migrant-workers-in-tamil-nadu-2342501-2023-03-04\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">false news<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> of migrant labourers from Bihar being attacked in Tamil Nadu, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.indiatoday.in\/india\/story\/youtuber-manish-kashyap-surrender-bihar-migrants-tamil-nadu-fake-videos-2348307-2023-03-18\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">surrendered<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> to Bihar Police on March 18. Following this, he was arrested was brought to Tamil Nadu on transit remand by a special team of TN police.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A keyword search on Google led us to various news reports revealing that Manish Kashyap was booked under the National Security Act (NSA) by the Tamil Nadu police on April 6. According to a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/indianexpress.com\/article\/cities\/chennai\/migrants-fake-videos-case-youtube-manish-kashyap-booked-under-nsa-in-tamil-nadu-8541508\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">report<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> published by The Indian Express, Kashyap appeared before a Madurai district court on April 5, which had ordered that he be remanded to judicial custody for 15 days following which he was sent to the Madurai central prison. \u201cThe court has extended his judicial custody till April 19\u201d, the report stated. He stated that &#8220;Manish wasn&#8217;t given any clean-chit by Madurai Court. He was booked under the National Security Act on April 5 and is currently in the Madurai central prison.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Supreme Court on April 11, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehindu.com\/news\/national\/violence-against-migrants-sc-seeks-response-from-tn-bihar-and-centre-to-plea-by-manish-kashyap-to-club-firs\/article66724125.ece\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sought responses<\/a> from the States of Tamil Nadu, Bihar and the Centre to a plea by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehindu.com\/news\/cities\/Madurai\/youtuber-remanded-in-judicial-custody\/article66704302.ece\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a0Manish Kashyap to club multiple FIRs<\/a> registered against him. A Bench of Justices Krishna Murari and Sanjay Karol gave the three governments a week to file their replies to the petition and posted the case for hearing on April 21.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To summarize, false claims of YouTuber Manish Kashyap receiving a clean-chit by a Madurai Court went viral on social media. However, at the time of publishing this article on April 12, no such judgment was passed by any court. Kashyap has been booked under the NSA by the TN police.
