In the midst of this, a group of people caught the assailant and thrashed him, after which he was handed over to the police.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A user named Sarvesh Kumar made the same claim while tweeting the video.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/hindi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/sites\/2\/2023\/06\/IMG_20230622_163446.jpg?resize=810%2C1043&amp;ssl=1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Another user name <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.is\/udw8q\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Gautam Bhatt<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and a few <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.is\/TccgU\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">others<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> also tweeted the video with the same claim.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/hindi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/sites\/2\/2023\/06\/Screenshot-2023-06-22-182016.jpg?resize=810%2C1188&amp;ssl=1\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This video is also being shared on <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/100002594193986\/videos\/590392209746365\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Facebook<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> with the same claim.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/hindi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/sites\/2\/2023\/06\/Screenshot-2023-06-22-163208.jpg?resize=810%2C1121&amp;ssl=1\" \/><\/p>\n<h4><b>Fact Check<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We performed a keyword search using terms related to the incident. This led us to a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bhaskar.com\/local\/mp\/seoni\/news\/angry-mob-caught-hold-of-the-accused-and-thrashed-him-blood-started-coming-out-of-his-head-and-face-131424206.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dainik Bhaskar<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> article dated June 19. According to this report, a youth named Sushil Yadav stabbed a girl with a knife on her neck and hand near LIB Chowk in the Kotwali police station area of Madhya Pradesh&#8217;s Seoni. The girl was seriously injured. Bystanders present on the spot caught hold of the youth and thrashed him fiercely after which he was left bleeding. Talking to the media, Kotwali police station in-charge Mahadev Nagotia said that the accused Sushil Yadav had been taken into custody and the investigation was on. Outlets like <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amarujala.com\/madhya-pradesh\/seoni\/mp-news-knife-incident-in-seoni-like-delhi-girl-attacked-with-knife-2023-06-19\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Amar Ujala<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.naidunia.com\/madhya-pradesh\/seoni-crazy-young-man-stabbed-a-girl-in-broad-daylight-mob-beat-her-8183826\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Nai Duniya<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> also covered the incident.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/hindi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/sites\/2\/2023\/06\/Screenshot-2023-06-22-170416.jpg?resize=810%2C665&amp;ssl=1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Alt News reached out to Kotwali police station in-charge Mahadev Nagotia regarding the matter. He informed us that the FIR number registered in this incident is 568\/23 and clarified there was no &#8216;Love Jihad&#8217; angle in the case. The accused, Sushil Yadav, and his father, Shiv Kumar Yadav, are Hindus.
