Some users claim that the billboard is a recent installation in New Delhi, where the G20 meeting is to be held on September 9 and 10. Several journalists and politicians have shared the image stating that it is disrespectful toward world leaders who are coming to India for the summit.<\/p>\n<p>Congress MP Shashi Tharoor shared the image on September 7 with a caption in Hindi that can be translated as: &#8220;Someone should explain to them that for us Indians it&#8217;s &#8220;Atithi Devo Bhavah&#8221; and not the sycophancy of any BJP leader. Keep in mind, that this is not a poster of the big engine with a small engine. This is an insult to our guests.&#8221; The Congress leader later deleted his tweet.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-166054\" href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20230907132241\/https:\/\/twitter.com\/rohini_sgh\/status\/1699765481698427077?s=46\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rohini Singh<\/a> quote-tweeted him with href=\"https:\/\/www.csmonitor.com\/World\/2023\/0406\/Biden-s-democracy-drive-goes-after-global-swing-states\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">report<\/a> by the news outlet The Christian Science Monitor on April 6, 2023. Hence, it is clear that the image or the billboard isn&#8217;t recent as claimed by social media users.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-166061\" src=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2023\/09\/Screenshot-2023-09-08-142851.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"641\" height=\"595\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2023\/09\/Screenshot-2023-09-08-142851.png 641w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2023\/09\/Screenshot-2023-09-08-142851-300x278.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 641px) 100vw, 641px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A keyword search led us to several <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=modi+most+popular+global+leader&amp;sca_esv=563673944&amp;bih=611&amp;biw=1366&amp;rlz=1C1ONGR_enIN1000IN1000&amp;hl=en-GB&amp;source=lnt&amp;tbs=cdr%3A1%2Ccd_min%3A4%2F1%2F2023%2Ccd_max%3A4%2F10%2F2023&amp;tbm=&amp;bshm=rimc\/1#ip=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news reports<\/a> from April this year that reported on PM Narendra Modi being the most popular global leader in the world. The <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MorningConsult\/status\/1642403760830914560\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">survey<\/a> was conducted by Morning Consult based on the data the organisation collected between March 22 and 28, 2023, for 22 global leaders. PM Modi ranked first with the highest approval rating of 76%. This <a href=\"https:\/\/pro.morningconsult.com\/trackers\/global-leader-approval#source-of-this-data\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">data<\/a> is updated every week.<\/p>\n<p>In February 2023, as well, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indiatoday.in\/india\/story\/pm-modi-gets-highest-approval-rating-among-global-leaders-leaves-biden-sunak-behind-2330161-2023-02-03\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PM Narendra Modi was in first place<\/a> in the global approval ratings. It can be seen that the billboard also displays the rating of Modi as 78%.
