But the viral image does not pertain to the aforestated event and is an attempt to mislead social media users.<\/p>\n<h2><b>A repeat offender\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>This wasn&#8217;t an isolated incident of Facebook page<em> Rahul Gandhi for PM\u00a0<\/em>circulating misinformation in favour of the Congress. In July this year, it falsely <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/RahulForPM\/photos\/a.639742409543535\/912507295600377\/?type=3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">claimed<\/a> that Rahul Gandhi&#8217;s Lok Sabha speech was seen by 48 lakh viewers. Alt News, however, found that\u00a0<em>Lok Sabha TV\u00a0<\/em>does not produce any data concerning the viewership of the channel.<\/p>\n<p><em>Rahul Gandhi for PM\u00a0<\/em>had also shared <a href=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/fake-quote-of-obama-endorsing-rahul-gandhi-for-prime-ministership-shared-by-fb-fan-page\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fake news<\/a> suggesting that former US President Barack Obama endorsed Rahul Gandhi for prime ministership.\u00a0In multiple other instances, it ascribed false quotes to BJP leaders, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/RahulForPM\/photos\/a.639742409543535\/966439186873854\/?type=3&amp;theater\">Ravinderjit Singh<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/RahulForPM\/photos\/a.639742409543535\/955969067920866\/?type=3&amp;theater\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ashiwini Chowbey<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/RahulForPM\/photos\/a.639742409543535\/955758654608574\/?type=3&amp;theater\">Sambit Patra<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Despite being called out in the past, the Facebook page continues to peddle disinformation.
