It is the result of the division and divisive politics that terrorism was on the rise in the country. Speaking to the <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/india\/Kasab-never-asked-for-biryani-we-fabricated-it-public-prosecutor-Ujjwal-Nikam-says\/articleshow\/46639254.cms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">media<\/a>, Nikam had said, <i>&#8220;Kasab neither asked for biryani nor it was served by the government. I concocted it just to break an emotional atmosphere which was taking shape in favour of Kasab during the trial of the case&#8221;. <\/i><\/p>\n<p>According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rediff.com\/news\/report\/when-kasab-spoke-in-marathi-during-his-trial\/20121121.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">report<\/a>, Nikam earlier had said, <i>&#8220;On Raksha Bandhan, he had inquired from his lawyer whether some girl would come to tie a Rakhi on his wrist, while on another occasion he threw tantrums for mutton biryani to be served to him in jail&#8221;.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>It may be noted that <i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.timesnownews.com\/india\/article\/up-cm-adityanath-slams-opposition-for-2611-attacks-terrorists-fed-mutton-biryani-kasab-jail-court-crying-nikam-biryani-by-congress-bullets-by-us\/321004\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Times Now<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indiatoday.in\/india\/story\/mumbai-26-11-attacks-yogi-adityanath-congress-1396468-2018-11-26\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">India Today<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ndtv.com\/india-news\/congress-served-terrorists-biryani-we-feed-them-bullets-yogi-adityanath-1953708?amp=1&amp;akamai-rum=off&amp;__twitter_impression=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NDTV<\/a><\/i> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.republicworld.com\/india-news\/politics\/watch-congress-gave-biryani-we-are-giving-bullets-yogi-adityanath-targets-congress-over-terrorism\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><i>Swarajya<\/i><\/a> have referred to the clarifying statement made by the public prosecutor in their news reports.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the public prosecutor\u2019s clarification being reported in 2015, three years later, the same falsified claim was utilized by Yogi Adityanath for political propaganda.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In a recent rally in the poll-bound Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath took a jibe at the erstwhile Congress led UPA regime for going too soft on the terrorist convicted in the 26\/11 Mumbai terror attack.
