BJP leaders recently circulated a picture on social media showing two auto-rickshaws parked on a road with the following written on them: \u201cKejriwal ko Delhi se bhagayenge.\u201d (Will drive away Kejriwal from Delhi). <\/span>Sharing this image, they claim it reflects the growing anger on the streets of Delhi against Arvind Kejriwal, the former chief minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader.<\/span><\/p>\n

The official BJP Delhi account shared the photo, captioning it with the statement, \u201cThe people of Delhi have decided, it’s time to get rid of Kejriwal!\u201d (Archived link<\/a>). <\/span><\/p>\n

Fact Check<\/b><\/h4>\n

We conducted a reverse-image search of the viral picture on Google and found the original uploaded on Wikimedia Commons<\/a> by Subhashish Panigrahi on April 9, 2013. Notably, the original photo does not contain any slogan against Kejriwal. Instead, it reads \u201cAyush Gupta, Akansha, ghar kab aaoge.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

This indicates that the viral image was digitally altered to include the political message. The contrast between the original and edited images can be observed in the comparison provided below.<\/span><\/p>\n

Interestingly, in February 2018<\/a>, Fevicol also had edited this image for use in their advertisements.<\/span><\/p>\n
