The user alleged that the boy had shot the bull to celebrate Priyanka Gandhi&#8217;s victory.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-292499\" src=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2024\/12\/Screenshot-2024-12-04-105747.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"796\" height=\"707\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2024\/12\/Screenshot-2024-12-04-105747.jpg 796w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2024\/12\/Screenshot-2024-12-04-105747-300x266.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2024\/12\/Screenshot-2024-12-04-105747-768x682.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 796px) 100vw, 796px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Building on this claim, BJP supporter <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/MrSinha_\/status\/1862163908842107333\">Roshan Sinha<\/a> amplified the tweet, though he later deleted his tweet.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/hindi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/sites\/2\/2024\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2024-11-28-at-10.16.48-PM.jpeg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Similarly, a user named Aditya Anand tweeted the video with the assertion that the Congress has crossed all boundaries of hatred toward Hindus. He alleged that Muhammad Mujahid Islam, identified as Kerala Congress&#8217;s media in-charge, shot the bull as a &#8216;sacrifice&#8217; in celebration of Priyanka Gandhi\u2019s win in Wayanad. (<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.is\/sigeY\">Archived link<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/hindi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/sites\/2\/2024\/11\/Screenshot-2024-11-29-131747.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>X handle <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/HPhobiaWatch\/status\/1862390212590002606\">@HPhobiaWatch<\/a> also shared the video, using it as an opportunity to target Congress.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/hindi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/sites\/2\/2024\/11\/2024-11-29-17_16_30-Hindutva-Knight-on-X_-_This-is-Khangress-for-you-Why-are-you-still-voting-for-th-662x1024.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>Fact Check<\/h4>\n<p>To verify these claims, Alt News performed a reverse image search using frames from the viral video. This led us to a report published on May 7, 2024, by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freepressjournal.in\/india\/horrific-video-manipur-man-shoots-cow-twice-in-head-peta-india-responds-after-outrage-on-social-media\">Free Press Journal<\/a>, which confirmed that the video was not a recent one. This disproves the claim that the incident was connected to Priyanka Gandhi\u2019s recent by-election victory in November 2024. The video has been circulating online for at least six months prior to these elections.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/hindi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/sites\/2\/2024\/11\/Screenshot-2024-11-29-135010.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We noticed that the video had surfaced with differing narratives over time. Previously, it was claimed that the person in the video was a Kuki militant in <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SaffronSunanda\/status\/1787159584043385149\">Manipur<\/a>, shooting the animal to insult Hindus. On another instance in May 2024, it was alleged that the video depicted a cow being sacrificed to secure Congress leader Rahul Gandhi\u2019s victory in Kerala during the Lok Sabha elections. Numerous fact-checking organizations <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bhaskar.com\/no-fake-news\/news\/rahul-gandhi-victory-kerala-congress-cow-slaughter-viral-video-133000125.html\">debunked these claims<\/a> at that time, declaring them baseless.<\/p>\n<p>When the video first went viral in May, PETA India (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) issued a statement acknowledging the video and confirmed that they were working with the cyber crime cell of Manipur Police to trace the incident\u2019s origin. Once the location and details were verified, the organisation would file a formal FIR.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">PETA India\u2019s Cruelty Response Team is working with Manipur Police\u2019s Cyber Crime Cell to confirm the details with respect to the location of the crime.
