I<\/span>n February this year, the Congress-ruled Telangana government decided to auction off 400 acres of forest land next to the university to build IT parks. The location is believed to have prime real estate potential, and the government argues the \u201cdevelopment\u201d would bring in a lot of investment and jobs.<\/p>\n<p>The video is being shared with the claim that animals were killed in the name of development.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">X user <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/AshokBuaddha\/status\/1908553547345522890\">Ashok Bauddha <\/a>shared the video using the hashtag #HyderabadCentralUniversity and wrote, &#8220;Destruction is happening in the name of development, today we have to see how many people protest against the government which is destroying the habitat of voiceless birds and animals&#8221;. We did not find any news reports covering any arson incident or fire at Hyderabad Central University.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We then performed a reverse image search using frames taken from the viral video. We found the source video posted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/DG0FkVMPl3l\/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&amp;igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==\">on March 5, 2025<\/a> on the Instagram account of a user named <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/abisekabisel\/\">@abisekabisel<\/a>. This account had posted a few more <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/DGz-lBbPc8a\/\">arson related<\/a> videos on the same day, i.e. on March 5.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/hindi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/sites\/2\/2025\/04\/2025-04-08-17_40_22-Instagram-Brave-1024x475.jpg\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Taking a closer look at these videos, we noticed that in the comments section of one such post <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/DG0FkVMPl3l\/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&amp;igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==\">dated March 5<\/a>, 2025, a user mentioned that Bishnupur was where the incident supposedly occurred.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/hindi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/sites\/2\/2025\/04\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-04-08-at-3.10.16-PM-1024x819.jpeg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Continuing our investigation, we came across a news report by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amarujala.com\/uttar-pradesh\/lakhimpur-kheri\/21-houses-burnt-due-to-fire-caused-by-burning-of-cow-dung-in-vishnupur-lakhimpur-news-c-120-1-lkh1004-140682-2025-03-05?client=android&amp;client_new=au_revamp\">Amar Ujala dated March 6<\/a>. According to the article, 21 houses were burnt in a fire caused by a spark in cow dung in Majra Vishnupur of Gram Panchayat Babaura of Majhgain police station area of \u200b\u200b\u200b\u200bLakhimpur Kheri on the afternoon of March 5.
