In the note, Israel has seemingly accused an unnamed Indian Army officer of sexually abusing Israeli Defense Force female soldier Tzipi Cohen during a military exercise in Jammu and Kashmir. It is also mentioned that the incident marked a violation of India&#8217;s obligations under customary international law and called for a prompt, transparent and impartial investigation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Pakistani X handle <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/commandeleven\/status\/1917268283256103389\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">@commandeleven<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> claimed that the Embassy of Israel had issued a note of formal diplomatic protest (Note Verbale) to the Indian ministry of external affairs accusing Indian Army Colonel Kamaldeep Singh, Commanding Officer of 6 Para (SF) of sexually assaulting IDF Sergeant Tzipi Cohen during a joint military exercise in the Jammu region of Kashmir. It is a kind of formal communication that is usually written in the third person and not signed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We performed a customised keyword search using terms from the Israeli Embassy&#8217;s Note Verbale, as per the viral claim, but could not find any credible media reports that could confirm this viral claim.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Next, Alt News came across a post by the <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/IsraelinIndia\/status\/1917427728195748209\">Israeli Embassy in India<\/a> on X (formerly Twitter). In this post, the screenshot of the viral &#8216;Note Verbale&#8217; has been posted and the alleged claims have been denied and this &#8216;Note Verbale&#8217; has also been called fake. The accompanying caption reads, &#8220;Unbelievable, the relationship between Israel and India is so solid, haters resort to fake news to try to harm it.
