Since then, there has been retaliation and shelling; both sides have upped the ante.<\/p>\n<p>On May 8, Zee News Kannada used the viral image in a <a href=\"https:\/\/zeenews.india.com\/kannada\/india\/ind-pak-war-live-updates-india-attacks-with-ins-vikrant-on-karachi-306111\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">report<\/a> titled, &#8220;IND-PAK War updates: India&#8217;s terrifying weapon used on Pakistan..! The Pakistanis ran, wondering, \u2018Will I survive or die?\u2019&#8221;. (<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.is\/9o5Fk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Archive<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>Several other media outlets\u2014including <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.is\/KU8Bc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TV9<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.is\/zjnFW\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Amar Ujala<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.is\/qWhjD\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lokmat Times<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.is\/O6Q1m\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hindustan<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/jagbani.punjabkesari.in\/national\/news\/several-explosions-one-after-the-other-at-karachi-port-ins-vikrant-wreaks-1563760\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jagbani or Punjab Kesari&#8217;s Punjabi counterpart<\/a>, Pratidin, <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.is\/981BF\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ei Samay<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.is\/F1CZt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Haribhoomi<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.is\/ZIpuJ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bhaskara News<\/a>\u2014also published reports with this image. Note that Pratidin&#8217;s report seems to have been taken down, but the image and headline are still visible online. All outlets used the image with similar claims that the Karachi port was destroyed as the Indian Navy has entered the battle. href=\"https:\/\/www.aninews.in\/news\/national\/general-news\/western-naval-command-chief-reviews-operational-readiness-of-western-fleet20231015220640\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">report<\/a> by the news agency Asian News International (ANI) from October 15, 2023. The report titled &#8220;Western Naval Command chief reviews operational readiness of Western Fleet&#8221;. The report carried a gallery of images and the now-viral image was featured in this report.<\/p>\n<p>Below the image, the report mentions that Vice Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Flag Officer, Commanding-in-Chief, Western Naval Command, &#8220;witnessed anti-submarine, anti-aircraft, and surface drills, and live firings by multiple platforms in a realistic multi-threat scenario, including air operations from <strong>INS Vikramaditya<\/strong>&#8220;.
