Those sharing this video claimed that the incident happened at a government school in Bihar&#8217;s Begusarai district and that it shows a teacher being kidnapped for marriage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>It is worth noting that Bihar is infamous for such &#8216;forced&#8217; marriages, also known as &#8216;Pakadwa Vivah&#8217;, in which eligible grooms with secure government jobs are often kidnapped and forced to marry women related to the perpetrators. Over the past few decades, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.deccanherald.com\/india\/bihar\/bihar-style-shotgun-marriage-kidnapped-teacher-forced-to-marry-at-gunpoint-3317788\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">several<\/a> such cases from Bihar have come to light.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">X account @thenewsbasket shared the video of the man being dragged in front of students on June 6, 2025, with the claim that a government school teacher was taken away for &#8216;forced marriage&#8217; at gunpoint. At the time this was written, the post had over 800,000 views. (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.is\/wf0p4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Archive<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/hindi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/sites\/2\/2025\/06\/Screenshot-2025-06-07-180553.jpg\" width=\"501\" height=\"703\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The video was also shared by X user @iamharunkhan who claimed this was the &#8216;ground reality&#8217; in Bihar and not a &#8216;movie plot&#8217;. (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.is\/VkIxc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Archive<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/hindi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/sites\/2\/2025\/06\/Screenshot-2025-06-07-180648.jpg\" width=\"486\" height=\"483\" \/><\/p>\n<h4><b>Fact Check<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A quick search using keywords related to the video and claims led us to a March 23, 2025, report published on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tv9hindi.com\/state\/bihar\/begusarai-dularpur-math-madhya-vidyalaya-teghra-school-film-named-pakadwa-vivah-was-being-shot-3190196.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TV9 Bharatvarsh<\/a> that had the same video. According to the report, the video was recorded at the Dularpur Math Middle School in the Teghra subdivision of Begusarai and depicts the shooting of a film named &#8216;Pakadwah Byaah&#8217;. The video simply shows a movie scene being shot where a teacher is forcibly dragged away. However, some had raised concerns on whether the film was shot during school hours and the District Education Officer even ordered an inquiry. The principal, cited in the report, had clarified that the filming happened on a Sunday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/hindi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/sites\/2\/2025\/06\/igghf.jpg\" width=\"544\" height=\"731\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We also found a video of the same scene recorded from a different angle in a March 12, 2025, Instagram post uploaded by user <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DHF8a2uT-Ol\/\">@rajanrddfilms<\/a>, a filmmaker and actor associated with the film &#8216;Pakadwah Byaah&#8217;.
