The post alleged that following the death of her parents, Liaquat Ali raised the child himself and ultimately went on to marry her. keyword search and found a YouTube video by Syed Basit Ali on June 14, 2022. The video is an interview with the same people shown in the collage. The couple is from Lahore, Pakistan, and had a unique story about how they got married.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[youtube https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=DaCTKi_wXJU?si=RkgEGlddCs6ucA7Y]<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\nAccording to the interview, the man (70) is Liaquat Ali and the woman (19) is his wife, Shumaila Ali. They told the interviewer that they fell in love during their daily morning walk routine. The woman <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">goes to say that her parents were initially against their marriage, but eventually she managed to convince them. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cOne doesn\u2019t see age in love, it just happens. People should refrain from commenting on others who marry with a vast age difference. They should be respected for their decision. It is their life, and they can live it the way they want,\u201d she adds.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We also found a few news reports regarding this from 2022. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/news\/new-updates\/one-doesnt-see-age-in-love-it-just-happens-19-year-old-girl-marries-70-year-old-baba-in-pakistan\/articleshow\/95576927.cms?from=mdr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Economic Times<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> had reported this. However, the outlet featured it under its Spotlight section, which is for paid or branded content.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tribuneindia.com\/news\/trending\/very-young-at-heart-70-year-old-man-marries-19-year-old-girl-in-pakistan-morning-walks-set-the-love-in-motion-451940\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Tribune<\/a> also published a report based on the YouTube video.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">From just the video by Syed Basit Ali, Alt News was unable to verify whether the interview depicted was a real incident or a scripted video made for entertainment. We reached out to him for clarification and the story will be updated based on his response. But we found that the YouTuber frequently features content from Pakistan, capturing unorthodox stories. So, even if it is a scripted video, the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">couple featured in the viral image shared recently\u2014reportedly Liaquat Ali and Shumaila Ali\u2014are not from Churu, Rajasthan, but Pakistan. Also, going by their accounts in the interview, the two are not related.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Thus, the widely circulated claim suggesting that a 70-year-old from Churu, Rajasthan, married his granddaughter is baseless.
