TV<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.is\/KX0en\">amadershomoy.com<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/news24bd.tv\">news24bd.tv<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.is\/A64M3\">dailynewstimesbd.com<\/a>.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> These outlets had reported that Noor Islam (45) of Cheprajhar village in the Atwari Upazila of report in Dainik Bhaskar\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/divyamarathi.bhaskar.com\/mah-mum-lcl-old-man-rajesh-kumar-himatsingka-married-with-young-girl-photos-viral-on-social--5781507-pho.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Divya Marathi<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> from November 8, 2017. According to the report, the man in the picture is Rajesh Kumar Himatsingka, a 70-year-old businessman from Assam, who was the managing director of Himatsingka Auto Enterprises Ltd. since 1987.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/hindi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/sites\/2\/2025\/07\/Screenshot-2025-07-12T205042.938-1024x919.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The report featured the same images that were doing the rounds on social media recently. The report said that Himatsingka was lonely after the death of his wife and remarried. The woman was much younger than him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/hindi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/sites\/2\/2025\/07\/Untitled-design-48-1024x938.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/malayalam.samayam.com\/viral-news\/old-man-rajesh-kumar-himatsingka-married-with-young-girl\/articleshow\/61540147.cms\">Malayalam edition<\/a> of The Times of India and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swadeshnews.in\/Encyc\/2017\/11\/14\/70-year-old-man-married-the-daughter-of-a-daughter-in-law.aspx\">Swadesh News<\/a> also published a report on the same incident in 2017, along with the viral images. These articles also mention that Himatsingka faced much criticism online for marrying the woman, who was 45 years younger than him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/hindi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/sites\/2\/2025\/07\/Screenshot-2025-07-12T205733.297-714x1024.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In May 2018, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=z_W9QRr1cD8\">News18 Assam (North East)<\/a> reported that Himatsingka was hospitalised after he tried to kill himself owing to a property-related dispute.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Thus, we were certain that the images were not of a Muslim man named Mohammad Shakeel from Uttar Pradesh but of someone named R<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">ajesh Kumar Himatsingka. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">However, a<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=%22%E0%A4%B6%E0%A4%95%E0%A5%80%E0%A4%B2+%E0%A4%A8%E0%A5%87+%E0%A4%AC%E0%A4%B9%E0%A5%82+%E0%A4%B8%E0%A5%87+%E0%A4%B6%E0%A4%BE%E0%A4%A6%E0%A5%80+%E0%A4%95%E0%A4%B0+%E0%A4%B2%E0%A5%80%22\">keyword search<\/a> with Shakeel&#8217;s name and the viral claim led us to a case from the Bansangli village in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, from June 2025. According to reports by <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/india\/up-shocker-55-year-old-man-marries-sons-fiance-she-was-to-be-my-daughter-in-law\/articleshow\/121976051.cms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NDTV India<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/india\/up-shocker-55-year-old-man-marries-sons-fiance-she-was-to-be-my-daughter-in-law\/articleshow\/121976051.cms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Times of India<\/a>, a 55-year-old man named Shakeel allegedly eloped with his son&#8217;s fianc\u00e9e and married her.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To sum up, the man and woman seen in the viral images are<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Rajesh Kumar Himatsingka and his younger wife from Assam, not Mohammad Shakeel. The images have been online since 2017 and werencirculated before with different claims. A man named Md Shakeel from Uttar Pradesh did marry his son&#8217;s fiancee, according to some media reports, but they are not the ones seen in the viral photos.
