A reverse image search on one of these led us to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/shorts\/d-F-h04HbRI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this<\/a> YouTube short, originally uploaded on June 30, 2025. The caption had references to the Jagannath Rath Yatra festival in Puri, Odisha.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/youtube.com\/shorts\/d-F-h04HbRI?si=eU5L3OutAVec4HwN<\/p>\n<p>Taking cue from the caption, as well as the visuals, which match those in the viral video, we could conclude that the viral clip has been taken from this video.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, on closely looking at the video, we could spot the famous Jagannath temple of Puri, towards which the crowd was seen heading. In the viral video, this part was concealed by text, which read &#8220;Jannayak Rahul Gandhi.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-303901\" src=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2025\/08\/Screenshot_19.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"557\" height=\"417\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2025\/08\/Screenshot_19.jpg 557w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2025\/08\/Screenshot_19-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 557px) 100vw, 557px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Thus, the viral video of the massive crowd is actually from this year&#8217;s Jagannath Rath Yatra festival held in Puri and not from a rally in support of Rahul Gandhi.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A video showing a bird&#8217;s-eye view of a large gathering of people is viral on social media with claims that these people came together for a Congress rally.
