At this particular panel, Rani Mukherjee was joined by IPS officer Meeran Chadha Borwankar.<\/p>\n<p>[youtube https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=HY9keAIoV6M?si=lZuuysvO5qaHzgSd&amp;start=1956]<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It can be seen in the video above that at the 31:30-minute mark, Borwankar appreciated Mukherjee&#8217;s performance in her film &#8216;Mardaani&#8217;. She says, &#8220;There was one scene in Mardaani where she is standing in a police station, and she is five feet nothing&#8230; Huge staff, very tall and broad policemen are standing. She, in a very businesslike manner, asks them to handle a particular issue. And they look at her&#8230; The way the director portrayed it &#8212; the way those tall, masculine men belonging to the police department, maybe it was crime branch, look at her and accept her leadership and do what she has told them &#8212; that one scene was so powerful which conveyed that it&#8217;s not the gender that matters, it&#8217;s the proficieency in the job and maybe the rank which matters.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Sardesai then requests Mukherjee to enact the scene from the movie. He jokingly offers to play the gunda in the scene and asks her to scold him.
