The river flows through Mongla Upazila of Bagerhat District in the Division of Khulna, Bangladesh.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The article highlighted concerns about commuters&#8217; safety at the Mongla river ferry ghat, noting that accidents were frequent due to the risky wooden structure, which was used as a temporary ghat as it was the only available alternative, after the original ferry ghat was destroyed. According to the outlet, nearly two lakh passengers use the fragile wooden structure to board boats to cross the river.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Taking a cue from this, we performed a keyword search that led us to a <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/7BXhsabKqI0?si=RLehs4XBGUxSJki5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news bulletin<\/a> uploaded on the YouTube channel of Independent Television. The caption of the video, when translated into English, reads, \u201cDemand for construction of a sustainable ghat at Mongla River crossing\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[youtube https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=7BXhsabKqI0?si=RLehs4XBGUxSJki5]<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We found several similarities between the visuals in this bulletin and the viral video. The ghat\u2019s structure is similar.
