Social media users, many of whom are vocal BJP supporters, have shared this clip claiming Bishnoi has got bail.<\/p>\n<p>Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi has been behind bars since 2014 and faces multiple criminal charges, including several high-profile murders, including that of Punjabi singer-rapper Sidhu Moosewala and Mumbai political leader Baba Siddique. He was moved to Gujarat&#8217;s Sabarmati jail on August 28, 2023, and some reports have alleged that he continues to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ndtv.com\/india-news\/lawrence-bishnoi-baba-siddique-roster-of-700-shooters-parallels-to-d-company-how-lawrence-bishnoi-operates-6786815\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">operate from his prison cell<\/a>. More recently, men linked to Lawrence Bishnoi&#8217;s brother fired shots at Bollywood actor Salman Khan&#8217;s house in Mumbai.<\/p>\n<p>X user @JaipurDialogues posted the above-mentioned clip on November 26. At the time of this report being written, the post has gained over 136,000 views and has been reposted over 1,100 times. The location said, &#8220;Fazilka&#8221;, which is a district in Punjab. However, Lawrence Bishnoi has been placed in Gujarat&#8217;s Sabarmati jail since 2023. We did not find any recent news reports which mention him being in a Punjab jail or being taken to Punjab for any judicial process.<\/p>\n<p>This raised doubts regarding the authenticity of the video.<\/p>\n<p>When we looked for the original video by running a relevant keyword search on YouTube, we were led to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=TMRwCSVSpVQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">longer video<\/a> posted by the channel LBG dj song on March 2, 2020. The video title said: &#8220;Lawrence Bishnoi latest video from fazilka peshi 2020&#8221;. Here, Bishnoi can be seen in the court premises being escorted by the Punjab police, and the part of the video which is now viral begins at the <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/TMRwCSVSpVQ?si=vrAnd6QGeh6qUSaQ&amp;t=108\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1:48-minute mark<\/a>. This makes it clear that the video is over five-year old.<\/p>\n<p>[youtube https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=TMRwCSVSpVQ?si=vrAnd6QGeh6qUSaQ&amp;start=108]<\/p>\n<p>We also found a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=bH5wdA-pumg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">video report by News18 Punjab<\/a> from February 24, 2020, which also included similar footage of Bishnoi in the Fazilka court. Bishnoi was produced in front of a Bench in the Fazilka court for a hearing, and had been acquitted by the judge of the charges in that particular case.<\/p>\n<p>We could not find any report of Bishnoi being released on bail in November 2025.<\/p>\n<p>To sum up, the viral clip featuring Lawrence Bishnoi is from 2020 and was shot in Punjab. As of November 26, 2025, he is lodged in Sabarmati Jail in Gujarat.<\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/indianexpress.com\/article\/cities\/chandigarh\/terror-plot-foiled-lawrence-bishnoi-operatives-held-pistols-seized-10387983\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">related development,\u00a0<\/a>a special anti-gangster task force of Punjab Police claimed to have foiled &#8220;a major terror plot&#8221; on Wednesday, November 26, by arresting four operatives linked to Goldy Dhillon of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, following a fierce exchange of fire on the Derabassi \u2013 Ambala Highway near Chandigarh.
