At least 15 people were killed and dozens injured in a terror attack at one of Australia\u2019s most iconic beaches, Bondi Beach in Sydney, on Sunday, December 14. The two men suspected of carrying out the mass shooting were 50-year-old Sajid Akram and his 24-year-old son, Naveed. <\/span>Sajid died at the scene during an exchange of gunfire with the police, while Naveed is in critical condition.<\/span><\/p>\n

A closer examination of the 6-second video clip revealed lip sync issues at several points.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Next, we performed a keyword search, but did not find any report on an Australian clamp down on Pakistani visa holders.<\/span><\/p>\n

To verify the authenticity of the clip, we conducted a reverse image search on a few key frames. This led us to several news reports from August 2022, including The Sydney Morning Herald<\/a>, Brisbane Times<\/a> and The Age<\/a> that featured a photograph of PM Albanese in the same attire and with the same background elements.\u00a0<\/span>The reports talked about a parliamentary discussion on the proposed Indigenous Voice to Parliament.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to reports<\/a>, police confirmed that two men suspected of carrying out the mass shooting at Bondi Beach had Indian lineage. Sajid Akram has his roots in Tolichowki in Hyderabad,<\/a> but he migrated to Australia in 1998 with a student visa and has only visited India on six occasions, primarily on family-related issues like property matters and visits to elder parents.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Police have also clarified that \u201cthe factors that led to the radicalisation of Sajid Akram and his son, Naveed, appear to have no connection with India or any local influence in Telangana.\u201d<\/a> <\/span>Though Sajid possessed an Indian passport but his children were born in Australia and were\u00a0Australian citizens<\/a>, the officials mentioned.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
