A video of man removing his burqa in front of two police personnel has gone viral on the Indian social media ecosystem. It is being claimed that Sri Lankan police has caught a Buddhist man masquerading as Muslim woman. The video caption declares that this man was \u201cone of the rogues\u201d involved in Sri Lanka Church bombing.<\/p>\n

Few more individuals on WhatsApp, have inquired about the veracity of the video, which is also indicative of the fact that it’s also viral on the social media platform.<\/p>\n

Alt News found that the video now shared in the backdrop of the bombings is actually an old video. The viral video has a\u00a0 watermark of a website (www.http:\/\/nethnews.lk<\/em>). A relevant keyword search on this website bore no results. Alt News contacted a local Sri Lankan journalist, who contacted the owner of the said website seeking details about the video. Within an hour, Neth FM<\/em><\/a>, a Facebook page associated with the website put out a clarification regarding the video. According to the website, it’s an old video<\/a> from August 2018.<\/p>\n
