In the infographic on the top, a picture of a young girl can be seen. It has been claimed that she is a 14-year old Rohingya Muslim girl named Sakhra, who has a 54 year old husband and has already given birth to two children. The image of the girl used in the viral message has been lifted from a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=rdeV4hauEEk&amp;feature=youtu.be\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">video report<\/a> by <em>BBC<\/em> chronicling the plight of Rohingya refugees fleeing persecution in Myanmar. The video has been posted below. The relevant portion can be viewed from 2:06 to 2:13 minutes. No claim about the young girl bearing children has been made in the BBC footage.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"In the jungle with Rohingya refugees feeling Myanmar - BBC News\" width=\"1290\" height=\"726\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rdeV4hauEEk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Using this picture, a story was concocted, which has been circulating in the social media ecosystem since at least 2017.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Will &#8220;Human Rights Wala&#8221; Look at her innocence!!<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Rohingya?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Rohingya<\/a> girl, just 14 has 2 kids. 1 of the six wife&#8217;s of her 56yr old husband<br \/>\nHumanity? <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/B4cB3UZHai\">pic.twitter.com\/B4cB3UZHai<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Raman Malik (@ramanmalik) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ramanmalik\/status\/911839586384412672?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 24, 2017<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2><strong>NITISH KUMAR AGAINST POPULATION CONTROL?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The second infographic, which has attributed a statement to Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on population control, is based on a 2016 news item. In <a href=\"https:\/\/indianexpress.com\/article\/india\/after-demonetisation-giriraj-singh-backs-nasbandi-nitish-kumar-calls-it-bakwaas-4412227\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">December 2016<\/a>, Kumar had slammed BJP MP and Union Minister Giriraj Singh after the latter had suggested <em>nasbandi<\/em> (sterilization) as a means for effective population control. Nitish Kumar had called Giriraj Singh&#8217;s suggestion &#8216;nonsense&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Alt News searched Google with the keywords<a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=nitish+kumar+on+population+control&amp;rlz=1C1CHBF_enIN773IN773&amp;oq=nitish+kumar+on+population+control&amp;aqs=chrome..69i57.5876j0j4&amp;sourceid=chrome&amp;ie=UTF-8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> &#8216;Nitish Kumar on population control&#8217;<\/a> and found several news articles which have documented his position on the issue.<\/p>\n<p>The Bihar CM has repeatedly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehindubusinessline.com\/news\/national\/bihar-cm-worried-over-population-growth-rate\/article20585718.ece1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">raised concern<\/a> over the issue of growing population and had in fact in 2012, suggested stepping up the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.firstpost.com\/fwire\/step-up-literacy-rate-to-control-population-growth-nitish-354629.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">literacy rate<\/a> to address the high fertility ratio in Bihar in order to bring it at par with the national average.<\/p>\n<p>Images showing Rohingya children have been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/rohingya-crisis-continues-images-children-used-spread-fake-news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">misused<\/a> in the past.
