It is to be noted that DPS Rajbagh is in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12825 jetpack-lazy-image--handled\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/hindi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/sites\/2\/2019\/07\/imgonline-com-ua-twotoone-VjHGsF6AhStxQ.jpg?resize=810%2C291&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"810\" height=\"291\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" data-lazy-loaded=\"1\" \/>Alt News had received a request to fact-check the video on its official WhatsApp number in 2019 as well.<\/p>\n<h4><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12826 jetpack-lazy-image--handled\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/hindi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/sites\/2\/2019\/07\/Screen-Shot-2019-07-20-at-2.55.51-PM.png?resize=523%2C276&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"523\" height=\"276\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" data-lazy-loaded=\"1\" \/>Video from Egypt<\/h4>\n<p>In July 2018, Alt News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/child-beating-video-from-egypt-shared-as-atrocity-by-teacher-from-rm-vm-school-valsad\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">debunked<\/a> the same video when it went viral with a claim that a school teacher at RM VM school in Gujarat&#8217;s Valsad district was brutally thrashing the children. We found that the video in question is <strong>not<\/strong> from India but from Egypt, where an orphanage manager named Osama Mohammed Othman was secretly filmed by his estranged wife, beating the children with a stick and kicking them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe video shows Osama Mohamed Othman hitting the children before kicking them as they run away, screaming in pain. State-run Al-Ahram newspaper said Othman\u2019s estranged wife filmed the video two months ago at Dar Mecca Al-Mokarama Orphanage in Giza,&#8221; according to an article published by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-2716752\/Court-shown-secret-footage-orphanage-manager-beating-children-stick-kicking-burst-tears-trial-shocked.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Daily Mail<\/a> on August 5, 2014.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_12829\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12829\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"jetpack-lazy-image--handled wp-image-12829 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/hindi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/sites\/2\/2019\/07\/2018-07-09-20_22_40-Video-footage-shows-Egyptian-orphanage-manager-beating-children-_-Daily-Mail-Onl.jpg?resize=810%2C671&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"810\" height=\"671\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" data-lazy-loaded=\"1\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-12829\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: Daily Mail UK<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>According to a 2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/world-middle-east-29143883\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BBC<\/a> report, Othman was sentenced to three years imprisonment for assaulting seven children in his care and endangering their lives. The sentence included two years of hard labour while the third year was suspended pending the payment of $110 (\u00a387) bail.<\/p>\n<p>A video from Egypt was circulated with the false claim that a school teacher from J&amp;K was brutally beating up children. Earlier as well, the same video was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/child-beating-video-from-egypt-shared-as-atrocity-by-teacher-from-rm-vm-school-valsad\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">shared<\/a> with the narrative the teacher is from a school in Valsad, Gujarat.
