Two head constables were suspended and the services of three Special Police Officers were terminated after the clip surfaced online months later in May 2019. According to <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ndtv.com\/india-news\/faridabad-5-policemen-face-action-after-video-shows-cops-thrashing-woman-in-haryana-2043782\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NDTV<\/a>, &#8220;A spokesman of [the] police department said that the incident happened in October last year and was not reported to police by the woman.&#8221;\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"5 Policemen Face Action After Video Shows Cops Thrashing Woman In Haryana\" width=\"1290\" height=\"968\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/D15qKFn-dOk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Other media outlets &#8211;\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.indiatoday.in\/crime\/story\/haryana-police-beat-woman-in-faridabad-1536513-2019-05-28\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">India Today<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/news\/politics-and-nation\/faridabad-two-cops-arrested-after-video-of-woman-being-beaten-goes-viral\/videoshow\/69534879.cms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Economic Times<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/scroll.in\/latest\/925018\/haryana-three-police-officials-sacked-and-two-suspended-for-allegedly-assaulting-woman\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Scroll<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/indianexpress.com\/article\/cities\/delhi\/video-shows-faridabad-cops-belting-woman-5751437\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Indian Express<\/a> &#8211;\u00a0<\/em>also reported the incident.<\/p>\n<p>The incident took place in a park and not inside a police station, as claimed recently on social media. <em>The\u00a0Indian Express<\/em> quoted Sube Singh, PRO of Faridabad Police, as saying,<em> &#8220;Adarsh Nagar police received information that a man and a woman were doing something wrong in the park. When police reached the spot, the man fled. The police personnel behaved indecently with the woman and hit her while questioning her.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Additional DGP Law and Order (Haryana) Navdeep Virk had put out a series of tweets on May 27, 2019, detailing the police action taken against the accused cops.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">1\/3: Haryana Police Department has taken a strong view about the incident of beating of a woman by police personnel that appeared in media today. The incident took place in October 2018 in a park that falls under the jurisdiction of the Adarsh Nagar police station.
