It had also been shared on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/permalink.php?story_fbid=180610693104070&amp;id=100034654201118\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Facebook<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Viral: False report that BJP killed its own worker\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/366510570?dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"660\" height=\"652\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2>OLD FAKE NEWS<\/h2>\n<p>This report by\u00a0<em>Daily Hunt\u00a0<\/em>was published on June 4, 2018, and is still available online. However, the news is false. According to a March 2018 report by\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/khabar.ndtv.com\/news\/india\/rama-navami-west-bengal-mamta-benerjee-1828963\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NDTV<\/a>,\u00a0<\/em>two people were killed in violence that erupted during Ram Navami celebration in West Bengal. Two months hence, several media outlets &#8211;\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.patrika.com\/political-news\/11-activists-of-bajrang-dal-arrested-in-connection-with-mamata-revenge-2900415\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rajasthan Patrika<\/a>, Times of India, <a href=\"https:\/\/deccanchronicle.com\/videos\/11-bajrang-dal-activists-arrested-in-alleged-connection-to-murder-of-bjp-workers.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Deccan Chronicle<\/a> &#8211;\u00a0<\/em>reported that the 11 members of Bajrang Dal were arrested.<\/p>\n<p>A June 5, 2018 report by <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newslaundry.com\/shorts\/ani-pulls-down-erroneous-story-on-11-bajrang-dal-activists-being-arrested\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Newslaundry<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>said that news agency\u00a0<em>ANI\u00a0<\/em>was the first to publish a report which was later picked up by varied media outlets. However, <em>ANI\u00a0<\/em>later took down the copy where it claimed that 11 Bajrang Dal workers were arrested for the murder of two BJP workers. Speaking to <em>Newslaundry, ANI\u00a0<\/em>informed that the story was pulled down owing to an \u201cerror in assessment\u201d.\u00a0<em>&#8220;We were told that the editorial team mixed up two stories.
