It has been claimed therein that the RRB has drastically reduced the number of NTPC posts. In this &#8216;notice&#8217;, it is mentioned, <em>&#8220;This is to inform that indian railways is improving its infrastructure and giving priority to privatisation so hiring process will be through IRCTC. A few indications to this effect are as follows:<\/p>\n<p>1. &#8216;Passengers&#8217; has been spelled as &#8216;passnegrs&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>2. The words &#8216;windows&#8217; and &#8216;go to settings to activate windows&#8217; can be seen in the background where the word &#8216;Chairpersons&#8217; is mentioned.<\/p>\n<p>3. There is space between the words &#8216;recruitment&#8217; and &#8216;boards&#8217; at the bottom-right of the page.<\/p>\n<p>4. &#8216;Indian railways&#8217; has been written at most places with the small &#8216;i&#8217; instead of the capital &#8216;I&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-49346\" src=\"http:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2019\/10\/rrb3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"364\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2019\/10\/rrb3.png 720w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2019\/10\/rrb3-300x152.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We then checked the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rrbcdg.gov.in\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">website of the RRB<\/a>, but found no such notice. The latest notice on the RRB website pertains to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rrbcdg.gov.in\/uploads\/Notice_for_uploading_in_websites_15_10_2019.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">postponement<\/a> of the exam for recruitment to NTPC posts, which was scheduled to be held between June and September. This notice was issued on October 14. It is worthwhile to note that the fake notice being shared on social media contains October 15 as the date. Had such a dramatic reduction in the number of posts been effected, it would invariably have been covered by the media. However, we found no such report.<\/p>\n<p>An attempt to create panic and despair among candidates has been made through the spread of this rumour.
