As can be seen from the above post, the video has been shared with the narrative that the incident occurred at the Secunderabad railway station. In the video, the man standing atop the train touches an overhead wire, following which he is instantly electrocuted. The video is 25 seconds long, and has been shared by several Facebook users.<\/p>\n

The video has been posted on Twitter with the same narrative. Alt News also received requests for verification on the official android app.<\/p>\n

FACT CHECK: VIDEO NOT FROM SECUNDERABAD<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Alt News found that the incident is recent, but it did not take place in Secunderabad, as claimed by social media users. The video is from Malda, West Bengal.<\/p>\n

There is a clue in the video itself- the word MTLD can be seen at the top left corner of the video. MLTD refers to Malda railway station.<\/p>\n

With the use of relevant key words and date filter, Alt News found a report of November 18, 2019 on Asianet Bangla<\/em><\/a>. The report contains the video clip which has gone viral, and is titled, ‘\u099f\u09cd\u09b0\u09c7\u09a8\u09c7\u09b0 \u099b\u09be\u09a6\u09c7 \u0989\u09a0\u09c7 \u099d\u09b2\u09b8\u09c7 \u0997\u09c7\u09b2\u09c7\u09a8 \u09af\u09c1\u09ac\u0995, \u09ad\u09df\u09be\u09ac\u09b9 \u09a6\u09c3\u09b6\u09cd\u09af\u09c7\u09b0 \u09b8\u09be\u0995\u09cd\u09b7\u09c0 \u09ae\u09be\u09b2\u09a6\u09b9 \u09b8\u09cd\u099f\u09c7\u09b6\u09a8, \u09a6\u09c7\u0996\u09c1\u09a8 \u09ad\u09bf\u09a1\u09bf\u0993’ (Translation: Malda station witnesses horror scene).\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n
