The tweet is no longer available. None of these websites was, however, credible. On further probing, we came across an article published by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.catchnews.com\/politics-news\/civil-war-in-sp-akhilesh-fuming-after-uncle-shivpal-suspends-aides-1451325936.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Catch News<\/a> in 2017. This article contained the same photograph, captioned as &#8216;Anand Bhadauria being assaulted by then-Lucknow DIG, DK Thakur in 2011.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-53796\" src=\"http:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2019\/12\/anand-bhaduria-600x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2019\/12\/anand-bhaduria-600x1024.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2019\/12\/anand-bhaduria-176x300.jpg 176w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2019\/12\/anand-bhaduria-768x1310.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2019\/12\/anand-bhaduria-901x1536.jpg 901w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2019\/12\/anand-bhaduria-990x1689.jpg 990w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2019\/12\/anand-bhaduria.jpg 1080w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/>The report states that the photograph was clicked in Lucknow, UP in 2011 when workers of the Samajwadi Party had protested against the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indiatoday.in\/india\/north\/story\/anti-maya-agitation-mulayams-son-akhilesh-yadav-held-in-lucknow-129995-2011-03-09\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">arrest<\/a> of their leader Akhilesh Yadav, during state-wide protests against the ruling BSP. The officer in the picture is D K Thakur, the then DIG of Lucknow, and the person on the ground is Anand Bhadauria, a Samajwadi Party leader.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>FALSELY SHARED AS PHOTO FROM KASHMIR<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The photograph has been falsely shared in the Pakistani social media ecosystem as brutality by Indian security personnel on residents in Kashmir.
