The tweet claims that the video shows an attempted assassination of the crown prince of Saudi Arabia. It has been retweeted over 4500 times already.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Watch an attempted assassination of the Saudi crown prince in Riyadh \ud83e\udd2f <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/sUGOZmarQj\">pic.twitter.com\/sUGOZmarQj<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 We \ud83c\uddfa\ud83c\uddf8 The \ud83c\uddfa\ud83c\uddf8 People \u2696\ufe0f (@45HarisonHarold) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/45HarisonHarold\/status\/1207720083545608193?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 19, 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2><strong>FACT CHECK: MOCK DRILL VIDEO<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Alt News found the accompanying social media claims false. The video represents not an assassination attempt on the Sultan of Oman or the crown prince of Saudi Arabia. It shows a mock drill conducted by security personnel. This is indicated by the fact that people present at the scene are shooting the event on their mobile phones, as can be seen in the video.<\/p>\n<p>After breaking up the video into multiple key-frames, Alt News reverse-searched one of the frames on Google and came across an article on a Lebanese news website, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.annahar.com\/article\/1085410-%D8%A7%D8%B9%D8%AA%D8%AF%D8%A7%D8%A1-%D8%B9%D9%84%D9%89-%D8%B1%D8%A6%D9%8A%D8%B3-%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A3%D9%85%D8%A9-%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%83%D9%88%D9%8A%D8%AA%D9%8A-%D9%85%D8%B1%D8%B2%D9%88%D9%82-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%BA%D8%A7%D9%86%D9%85-factcheck\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>www.annahar.com<\/em><\/a>. The report of December 13, 2019 states that the video is from Kuwait, and fact-checks the claim that the speaker of the Kuwaiti Parliament was attacked. According to the article, the security personnel seen in the video are Kuwait Emiri Guard, an elite combat unit of the Kuwaiti armed forces, who are conducting a mock drill in Kuwait. Alt News also found <a href=\"https:\/\/nabd.com\/t\/67146259-a0ef46\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">other reports<\/a> stating the same.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-54230\" src=\"http:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2019\/12\/oman4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"798\" height=\"545\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2019\/12\/oman4.jpg 798w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2019\/12\/oman4-300x205.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2019\/12\/oman4-768x525.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2019\/12\/oman4-379x259.jpg 379w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 798px) 100vw, 798px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It may thus be noted the claim that the Sultan of Oman was attacked, is false.
