Fact-check: RBI has made no such announcement<\/h2>\n

Alt News had fact-checked this viral claim earlier<\/a> and found it to be false. RBI has not made any such announcements. Any decision taken by the central bank is posted on its website where no such information is available. Apart from this, Alt News also confirmed the same with RBI’s communications department.<\/p>\n

Alt News found that the images are from a News18<\/em> India<\/em> broadcast where the channel was investigating the rumours. This is indicated in the images itself. All the images have the question \u201c\u0916\u092c\u0930 \u092a\u0915\u094d\u0915\u0940 \u0939\u0948 ?\u201d (Is the news confirmed?) .\u00a0<\/em>The fact-check was broadcast on December 15.<\/p>\n
