Alt News found that the woman is not Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s niece but a social worker from Delhi. A closer look at the video reveals the logo “HNP News”<\/em> on the screen.<\/p>\n

With a keyword search on the organization’s YouTube channel, we found the video<\/a> posted on January 3, 2020. At 1:35 minutes, the woman is identified by the channel as Atiya Alvi, a social worker based in Delhi.<\/p>\n

“I was at a protest in Jamia Milia and I am not Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s niece,”\u00a0<\/em>Alvi told Alt News. Vajpayee’s niece is Karuna Shukla<\/a> and she is 69 years old. Atiya Alvi is visibly younger.<\/p>\n
