BJP WB president Dilip Ghosh was allegedly chased and heckled by supporters of Gorkha Territorial Administration\u2019s chairman Binay Tamang. Ghosh was in Darjeeling on October 5, 2017, right after a 104-day <a href=\"https:\/\/indianexpress.com\/article\/india\/bjp-delegation-led-by-state-president-dilip-ghosh-chased-and-heckled-in-darjeeling-4875851\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">strike<\/a>\u00a0for a separate Gorkhaland was withdrawn by the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hindustantimes.com\/india-news\/gjm-ends-104-day-strike-all-about-darjeeling-crisis-gorkhaland-demand\/story-cYX1lHkt2QyHURqeD1GowK.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Gorkha Janmukti Morcha<\/a>.\u00a0The incident was reported by several media outlets, including <em>ABP News.\u00a0<\/em>This clip below was broadcast by the channel in October 2017 when the incident had occurred.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Attack on BJP President Dilip Ghosh in Darjeeling\" width=\"1290\" height=\"968\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/mixfhRixiTk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>A three-year-old video from West Bengal is thus being shared with the false claim that BJP leaders were thrashed in the northeast during a door-to-door campaign for the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A video where individuals sporting BJP sashes can be seen beaten up by a crowd is widely circulating on social media.
