It has been shared over 32,000 times.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/hindi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/sites\/2\/2020\/03\/3-%E0%A4%AC%E0%A4%B9%E0%A5%81%E0%A4%A4-%E0%A4%AC%E0%A4%A1%E0%A4%BC%E0%A5%87-%E0%A4%86%E0%A4%A4%E0%A4%82%E0%A4%95-%E0%A4%95%E0%A5%8B-%E0%A4%AA%E0%A5%80%E0%A4%9F%E0%A4%A4%E0%A5%87-%E0%A4%B9%E0%A5%81%E0%A4%8F-%E0%A4%A6%E0%A4%BF%E0%A4%B2%E0%A5%8D%E0%A4%B2%E0%A5%80-%E0%A4%AA%E0%A5%81%E0%A4%B2%E0%A4%BF%E0%A4%B8%E0%A5%A4-Anil-Kumar-Yadav.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On February 29, Udit Raj, former MP and Indian National Member (INC) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Dr_Uditraj\/status\/1233741261716230144\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">tweeted<\/a> (<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/1QNjS\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">archive link<\/a>) this image as well. However, he did not claim that the image is from New Delhi, instead, he posted a short poem.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Image 2: <\/strong>An image of children hugging a woman in despair has gone viral with the claim that it is also from recent communal violence in Delhi. This image was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/tushqa\/posts\/10158110785292603\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">posted<\/a> (<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/90HBG\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">archive link<\/a>) by a Facebook user which was shared over 200 times. Just like the previous image, on March 1, Raj <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Dr_Uditraj\/status\/1234006322087170048\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">tweeted<\/a> (<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/YxKh5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">archive link<\/a>) this image with a short poem.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-60283 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/03\/Image2-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"503\" height=\"836\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/03\/Image2-1.png 503w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/03\/Image2-1-181x300.png 181w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 503px) 100vw, 503px\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>Fact-check<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Image 1<\/strong>: Performing a reverse image search on TinEye, Alt News found the viral image on <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gettyimages.in\/detail\/news-photo\/bangladeshi-policeman-threatens-a-child-with-a-baton-during-news-photo\/102626825\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Getty Images<\/a><\/em>. The caption states, &#8220;A Bangladeshi policeman threatens a child with a baton during clashes with garment workers in Dhaka on June 30, 2010. At least 15,000 protesting garment factory workers blocked key roads in the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka, the latest in a string of protests over low wages and poor conditions. According to the caption, &#8220;A Syrian woman comforts her children after their house in the Sahour neighbourhood of the northern Syrian city of Aleppo was bombed in 2014.&#8221; The photograph is shot by photographer Zein-Al-Rifai.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/hindi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/sites\/2\/2020\/03\/Getty-Images.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This image was also used in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/pictures\/syria-civil-war-destruction\/17\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">photo essay on Siryan war by <em>CBS News<\/em><\/a>, news division of US-based Columbia Broadcasting System.<\/p>\n<p>Social media claim that these images are from recent Delhi riots are therefore false.
