Alt News received an app request where it was suggested that the clip was shot in &#8220;Jalalpur Ambedkar Nagar&#8221;.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-1qd0xha r-ad9z0x r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">A Facebook user <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/rupalj.mistry.9\/videos\/891868727921218\/\">shared<\/a> the viral video along with Gujarati text, &#8220;Today in the skies of Iraq, strange structures were seen and people started crying for fear that this was the beginning of the end of the world! This suggests that the voices of people panicking were superimposed to the clip.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"thie is Mysterious Planet Nibiru Never Seen Before 2017 mp4\" width=\"1290\" height=\"968\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ik8XOnLyRSk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>According to the title, the video shows a &#8216;mysterious planet Nibiru.&#8217; However, this is not an actual event but related to a popular doomsday theory debunked by <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/news\/speaking-of-science\/wp\/2017\/11\/18\/please-stop-annoying-this-nasa-scientist-with-your-ridiculous-planet-x-doomsday-theories\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NASA<\/a><\/em> in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Using InVid, a video verification tool, Alt News analysed the viral video by performing a reverse image search on Yandex. We found a 2018 report by <a href=\"https:\/\/turnbackhoax.id\/2018\/01\/25\/hoax-video-planet-nibiru-video-of-nibiru-planet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Turn Back Hoax<\/em><\/a>, an Indonesia-based fact-check platform.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-61403 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/03\/Screenshot-2020-03-20-at-2.08.58-AM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"763\" height=\"619\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/03\/Screenshot-2020-03-20-at-2.08.58-AM.png 763w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/03\/Screenshot-2020-03-20-at-2.08.58-AM-300x243.png 300w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/03\/Screenshot-2020-03-20-at-2.08.58-AM-260x210.png 260w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 763px) 100vw, 763px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The outlet debunked the video when several people claimed to post a \u2018Facebook live\u2019 of the event. As per\u00a0<em>Turn Back Hoax,\u00a0<\/em>the video was created using clips that already existed on the internet. &#8220;One of them is published in Youtube here: https:\/\/goo.gl\/ebNMBm, about \u201cPlanet Nibiru\u201d conspiracy theories,\u201d reads the report. The YouTube video is however unavailable now.<\/p>\n<p><em>Turn Back Hoax <\/em>also cites a 2017 article from <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/news\/2017\/09\/21\/nibiru-nonsense-planet-x-armageddon-nasa-fake-news-theories\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Telegraph<\/a> <\/em>which said, &#8220;Planet X, or Nibiru, refers to a mythological planet in our solar system that will supposedly crash into Earth and wipe out the human race, however it has been consistently dismissed by Nasa and other experts as an internet hoax.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><em>NASA\u00a0<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/sservi.nasa.gov\/articles\/scientists-reject-impending-nibiru-earth-collision\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">republished an article<\/a> around the conspiracy theories in 2012. &#8220;The biggest missing link in the doomsday prophecy is Nibiru itself. Because no giant, rogue planet has been found in the outer solar system to play the role of Nibiru&#8230;&#8221; reads the article which also quotes NASA&#8217;s David Morrison: \u201cThe fact is that these folks are constantly changing their story. For some, Nibiru is no longer the Sumerian god or planet that is supposed to be returning to Earth in late 2012. It has become a catchword for almost any cosmic catastrophe.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, the claims that the viral video is from Iraq or shows a catastrophic planet is false.
