Dutta demanded that the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) takes cognisance of the same. In 2010, he tweeted that he isn&#8217;t filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. &#8220;I am another Anurag. Please do not bug me considering him.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Pl Excuse me friends!!! I am not film director or producer Anurag Kashyap. I am another Anurag. In February 2010, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/filmalani\/posts\/297204030894\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Facebook page<\/a>\u00a0tagged Safar instead of the director. Another user, while praising a movie, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ramesh.birmod.1\/posts\/10208052333121962\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">tagged Safar<\/a>. Readers should note that hovering the cursor over the tag &#8216;Anurag Kashyap&#8217; throws up Safar&#8217;s profile. His username was <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=to%3Aanurag_safar07%20until%3A2010-1-1&amp;src=typed_query&amp;f=live\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">@anuragkashyap07<\/a> at least till October 2009. He later changed it and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/anurag_safar07\/status\/24581427496\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">clarified in a tweet<\/a> that he isn&#8217;t the director.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-76066 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/09\/anurag_safar07-until_2010-1-1-.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"714\" height=\"245\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/09\/anurag_safar07-until_2010-1-1-.jpg 714w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/09\/anurag_safar07-until_2010-1-1--300x103.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 714px) 100vw, 714px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Alt News contacted Anurag Kashyap who denied the accusation and said that his verified personal Facebook account has the username <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/anuragkashyap1972\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8216;anuragkashyap1972&#8217;<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Rupa Dutta, therefore, shared screenshots of her 2014 conversation with a man named Anurag Safar.
