While some are calling for a nationwide National Register of Citizens (NRC) drive same as Assam, others have tagged Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to demand a ban on madrasas. From Dhaka-based page Kutubdiar News, the clip gathered nearly 5 million views.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-78285 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/10\/80c8c85c-0598-48b7-9d7f-ec2b09127931.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1410\" height=\"495\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/10\/80c8c85c-0598-48b7-9d7f-ec2b09127931.png 1410w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/10\/80c8c85c-0598-48b7-9d7f-ec2b09127931-300x105.png 300w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/10\/80c8c85c-0598-48b7-9d7f-ec2b09127931-1024x359.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/10\/80c8c85c-0598-48b7-9d7f-ec2b09127931-768x270.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1410px) 100vw, 1410px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The incident was also reported by Bangladeshi news organisations after the video began circulating widely in July.<\/p>\n<p>According to a report by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kalerkantho.com\/online\/country-news\/2020\/07\/10\/933233\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kaler Kantho<\/a>, the viral video dates back to 2016 and headteacher Nurul Haque Sardar was dismissed from Sonar Bangla Secondary School after locals protested against his actions.<\/p>\n<p>The report further said that Nurul is a known sexual offender. He used to work in a secondary school in Shikarpur before moving to Wazirpur.
