It stated that the incident took place in Munger district of Bihar.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-79125 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/10\/833f41d7-8875-4d49-8c64-1092c65cbd06.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"654\" height=\"732\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/10\/833f41d7-8875-4d49-8c64-1092c65cbd06.jpg 654w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/10\/833f41d7-8875-4d49-8c64-1092c65cbd06-268x300.jpg 268w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 654px) 100vw, 654px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>According to India Today, violence erupted during idol immersion in Munger. Shots were fired that led to the death of one person. The cops lathi-charged the group, claiming that &#8220;anti-social elements&#8221; had fired bullets. But as the police insisted on immersing over 25 idols before midnight of October 26, several organisers objected started pelting the police posse with stones.&#8221; The deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Anurag Poddar from Munger.
