However, neither did we find any media reports nor the tweet in question. We also looked through BJP&#8217;s deleted tweets on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politwoops.com\/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&amp;group=347&amp;q=%40BJP4India\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Politwoops<\/a>, a repository of deleted tweets by prominent handles. No such tweet was found on the website.<\/p>\n<p>There are also other discrepancies in the screenshot.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The username of BJP&#8217;s Twitter handle is written as &#8216;@ BJP4india&#8217;, while the official Twitter handle has &#8216;BJP4India&#8217;, i.e, &#8216;I&#8217; is not small.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The time in the viral tweet is mentioned as &#8216;P.M.&#8217; whereas the Twitter format is &#8216;PM&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Below the viral tweet, the words &#8216;Twitter for Web&#8217; is also visible. However, a quick look through the BJP&#8217;s Twitter account establishes that it usually tweets from Twitter Wed App or Twitter Media Studio.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; A closer look reveals that the &#8216;comment&#8217; option looks slightly different, it is more rounded than the one in the official Twitter app.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The text of the viral tweet and the profile picture of the account are not aligned in a straight line.<\/p>\n<p>We compared the morphed tweet with a genuine tweet from BJP&#8217;s official handle.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-80933 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/11\/a1fdcd72-4625-4595-9b15-681846ad2135.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"427\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/11\/a1fdcd72-4625-4595-9b15-681846ad2135.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/11\/a1fdcd72-4625-4595-9b15-681846ad2135-300x125.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/11\/a1fdcd72-4625-4595-9b15-681846ad2135-768x320.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A few days ago, similar false claims of a nexus between the BJP and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi went viral on social media. Photos of Home Minister Amit Shah with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/hindi\/old-image-of-mamta-banerjee-amit-shah-having-breakfast-with-other-leaders-shared-as-a-meeting-for-upcoming-bengal-election\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">shared to claim<\/a> the duo is planning a conspiracy before the state elections.
