The post read that in a terrible incident, this man was beaten so brutally by the Delhi police that it left deep gashes on his body.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-85350 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2021\/01\/word-image-17.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"424\" height=\"526\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2021\/01\/word-image-17.png 424w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2021\/01\/word-image-17-242x300.png 242w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 424px) 100vw, 424px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>According to an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ndtv.com\/delhi-news\/2-delhi-police-cops-suspended-for-unprofessional-behaviour-in-delhis-mukherjee-nagar-incident-2074944\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NDTV article<\/a> dated June 25, 2019, a fight broke out between a few policemen and a Sikh tempo driver in \u200b\u200bDelhi&#8217;s Mukherjee Nagar area on July 16. The man got into a physical altercation with the police officers. In a few viral videos of the clash, a Sikh man can be seen running after the cops with a sword. In another set of visuals, a few policemen are beating the man with lathis. While investigating the case, the Delhi Police sacked two officers. <a href=\"https:\/\/punjabi.abplive.com\/news\/india\/sgpc-writes-letter-to-home-secretariat-regarding-man-and-his-son-brutally-beaten-by-delhi-police-481303\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ABP Manjha<\/a> shared these photos in its report covering the scuffle.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aajtak.in\/india\/delhi\/story\/delhi-mukherjee-nagar-police-dismissed-two-constable-670619-2019-07-24#:~:text=%E0%A4%AE%E0%A5%81%E0%A4%96%E0%A4%B0%E0%A5%8D%E0%A4%9C%E0%A5%80%20%E0%A4%A8%E0%A4%97%E0%A4%B0%20%E0%A4%A5%E0%A4%BE%E0%A4%A8%E0%A5%87%20%E0%A4%95%E0%A5%87%20%E0%A4%AC%E0%A4%BE%E0%A4%B9%E0%A4%B0,%E0%A4%98%E0%A4%9F%E0%A4%A8%E0%A4%BE%20%E0%A4%95%E0%A5%80%20%E0%A4%A8%E0%A4%BF%E0%A4%82%E0%A4%A6%E0%A4%BE%20%E0%A4%95%E0%A5%80%20%E0%A4%A5%E0%A5%80.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Aaj Tak<\/a> reported that auto driver Sarabjit attacked a group of policemen with a sword, after which they beat him and his son. Members of the Sikh community began protesting after a video of the skirmish went viral. In what turned out to be a cross-case, two FIRs were filed in the matter, the first by Sarabjit, and the second by the accused. Aaj Tak\u2019s video report on the incident can be found below.<\/p>\n<p>[youtube https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=IsU1aC-nWJw]<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bhaskar.com\/delhi\/delhi-ncr\/news\/sarabjeet-has-already-registered-cases-of-assault-01573043.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dainik Bhaskar<\/a> story stated that Sarabjit had been involved in another assault case earlier as well. He was ultimately released with a warning.<\/p>\n<p>A Sikh man was beaten brutally after getting into a scuffle with police officers in Delhi&#8217;s Mukherjee Nagar area in 2019.
