As per the daily numbers compiled by NDTV, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ndtv.com\/fuel-prices\/petrol-price-in-karnataka-state\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Karnataka<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ndtv.com\/fuel-prices\/petrol-price-in-madhya-pradesh-state\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Madhya Pradesh<\/a> are two major BJP governed states with petrol prices over Rs 90. They were not quoted in the infographic. As of February 17, petrol prices in these states were Rs 92.7 per litre and Rs 98.48 per litre respectively. States like Bihar, Meghalaya and Nagaland where the BJP is actually in alliance with other regional parties have been listed as &#8216;non-BJP&#8217; states. In Bihar, Bharatiya Janata Party is in <a href=\"https:\/\/indianexpress.com\/article\/india\/will-not-affect-bihar-alliance-sushil-modi-on-jdu-mlas-joining-bjp-in-arunachal-pradesh-7123085\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">coalition<\/a> with Janata Dal-United whereas, in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hindustantimes.com\/india-news\/differences-in-meghalaya-bjp-intensifies-coalition-govt-comes-under-strain-101614186935274.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Meghalaya<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehindu.com\/news\/national\/other-states\/nagaland-seats-go-to-bjp-ally-independent\/article33067730.ece\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nagaland<\/a>, they are part of the ruling alliance. It may be noted that according to the NDTV tracker, petrol prices in these states were Rs <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ndtv.com\/fuel-prices\/petrol-price-in-bihar-state\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">93.43<\/a>, Rs <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ndtv.com\/fuel-prices\/petrol-price-in-meghalaya-state\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">86.04<\/a> and Rs <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ndtv.com\/fuel-prices\/petrol-price-in-nagaland-state\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">91.96<\/a> per litre respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly, the list of BJP-governed states also doesn&#8217;t mention the state of Manipur where the BJP is in alliance with the National People&#8217;s Party. The petrol price in Manipur is Rs <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ndtv.com\/fuel-prices\/petrol-price-in-manipur-state\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">93.36<\/a> per litre as of February 17.<\/p>\n<p>However, it is also noteworthy that the list of non-BJP-governed states also didn&#8217;t include INC-governed Punjab, YSRCP-governed Andhra Pradesh and BJD-governed Odisha. It must be emphasized that petrol prices change on a day-to-day basis and are different from region-to-region.
