This time the fake news is timed with Prime Minister Modi\u2019s trip to the UAE. On the day PM Modi landed in Abu Dhabi, Times Now tweeted, \u201c<em>When the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince was invited on stage to share his views, he began the speech with &#8216;Jai Siya Ram&#8217;, sending the crowd into a frenzy.<\/em>\u201d In a frenzy the tweet has been shared over 1300 times by those who took it at face value.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">When the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince was invited on stage to share his views, he began the speech with &#39;Jai Siya Ram&#39;, sending the crowd into a frenzy. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/L3bDTj2jqm\">https:\/\/t.co\/L3bDTj2jqm<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; TIMES NOW (@TimesNow) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TimesNow\/status\/962268763147059200?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 10, 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Times Now story went on to say, \u201c<em>As Abu Dhabi gears to welcome PM Modi today, a video of its Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan is being re-circulated on the social media.<\/em>\u201d\u00a0It circulated the video without verifying whether or not the person at the Ram Katha programme led by Morari Bapu is Abu Dhabi Crown Prince.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Sheikh Sultan Addressing at Ram Katha in front of Murari Bapu In Abu Dhabi\" width=\"1290\" height=\"968\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Bpu06uCbBI4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The video clearly addressed the person as Sheikh Sultan but that did not alert Times Now to cross check before posting it. The channel had extensively covered the visit of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince\u00a0 Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to India and his meeting with PM Modi during the latter\u2019s visit to Abu Dhabi. The person in the video is clearly not the Crown Prince. In this specific instance, without even a basic fact-check, Times Now has contributed to making a video viral which is being shared in an incorrect context.
