Hundreds of people gathered in front of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indiatoday.in\/india\/story\/hundreds-protest-at-jama-masjid-seek-waseem-rizvi-s-arrest-for-filing-petition-in-sc-over-quran-verses-1781288-2021-03-19\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Delhi&#8217;s Jama Masjid<\/a> on March 19 to protest against Rizvi&#8217;s petition and termed him &#8216;anti-Muslim&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>A week after this incident, a video was made viral on social media which shows a man being rescued by the police from a mob. Taking this as a clue, we performed a Google search with the keywords \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=mob+thrashing+and+tearing+clothes+punjab%27&amp;oq=mob+thrashing+and+tearing+clothes+punjab%27&amp;aqs=chrome..69i57.182j0j1&amp;sourceid=chrome&amp;ie=UTF-8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">mob thrashing and tearing clothes Punjab<\/a>&#8216; and found a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=UIanVVHs6Ys\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">video report<\/a> by India Today from March 28. According to the report, Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) MLA from Abohar, Punjab Arun Narang went to the BJP office for a press conference. But protesting farmers gathered outside the office surrounded and attacked him.
