In the first, the CM is sitting in a wheelchair while the other shows her on her feet, meeting her supporters. The images are dated May 1, 2021, and May 2, 2021, respectively to claim that CM Banerjee had faked her injury. The Chief Minister was allegedly injured in March when she had visited Nandigram to file nomination papers. Since the ruling TMC retained power in the assembly elections, the party and CM Banerjee have been targetted with misinformation, especially due to the results sparking post-poll violence.<\/p>\n<p>Twitter user @Sootradhar tweeted the photos and sarcastically wrote, &#8220;West Bengal, India has the best public health care system in the world.&#8221; It amassed more than 3,000 retweets and 12,500 likes at the time of writing. It has been juxtaposed with an image showing her recent injury to claim that she faked getting hurt.<\/p>\n<p><strong>First image<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The picture of Mamata Banerjee in a wheelchair was published in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theweek.in\/news\/india\/2021\/03\/14\/recovering-from-leg-injury-mamata-banerjee-to-hold-kolkata-roadshow-wheelchair-today.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">an article in The Week<\/a> dated March 14, 2021. The Chief Minister was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ndtv.com\/india-news\/west-bengal-assembly-election-2021-mamata-banerjee-in-hospital-has-foot-shoulder-neck-injuries-say-doctors-under-watch-for-2-days-2388241\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">allegedly attacked<\/a> on March 10 and <a href=\"https:\/\/indianexpress.com\/article\/india\/mamata-banerjee-discharged-nandigram-attack-7225782\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">was discharged<\/a> from the hospital two days later. On March 14, she led a roadshow marking the occasion of Nandigram Diwas to commemorate the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hindustantimes.com\/india-news\/mamata-banerjee-leads-procession-in-wheelchair-on-nandigram-diwas-101615713958121.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">14 people who were killed during police firings<\/a> in Nandigram on March 14, 2007. The image was found in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timesnowhindi.com\/india\/article\/west-bengal-by-election-results-live-updates-for-karimpur-kharagpur-sadar-kaliganj-pithoragarh-assembly-by-polls-result-2019-today\/270056\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Times Now Hindi article<\/a> dated November 28, 2019. She had <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/86gxL_XmTk4?t=85\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">recovered<\/a> by then.<\/p>\n<p>A two-year-old photo was shared with the false claim that Mamata Banerjee was faking her leg injury.
