They have claimed that Israel has named its fighter jet &#8216;Soumya&#8217; to avenge her death by conducting an airstrike on the Palestinian army chief&#8217;s residence.<\/p>\n<p>Facebook user Manoj Pareek <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/175939949778290\/posts\/809514843087461\">posted<\/a> shared the claim ona\u00a0 Facebook group dedicated to Zee News editor-in-chief Sudhir Chaudhary. It has gained over 800 retweets.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-93677 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2021\/05\/Screenshot-2021-05-17-at-2.49.54-PM.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"470\" height=\"528\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2021\/05\/Screenshot-2021-05-17-at-2.49.54-PM.jpg 470w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2021\/05\/Screenshot-2021-05-17-at-2.49.54-PM-267x300.jpg 267w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 470px) 100vw, 470px\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>Morphed image<\/h4>\n<p>Performing a reverse image search on Google we found that the fighter jet is Chengdu J-10, manufactured by the Chengdu Aircraft Corporation (CAC) for the People&#8217;s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF), China.<\/p>\n<p>The image was uploaded on the Chinese social media portal Tencent&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/new.qq.com\/omn\/20200402\/20200402A0B86Y00.html\">QQ<\/a> last year. It has been credited to Global Frontier Observation.
